Arise Ragnarok Beginner Guide: Fast Progression & Best Classes
Arise Ragnarok released just a few weeks ago, and if you’re jumping in now, you want to make sure you’re not wasting time on the wrong systems. This guide will walk you through exactly what to do from the moment you join—picking the right class, understanding quests and dungeons, building your shadow army, and spending your stat points correctly.
By following this route, you’ll progress extremely fast compared to most beginners and set yourself up for the endgame.
1. Choosing the Right Class
The first decision you make—your class—has a huge impact on your early game speed. There are five classes: Assassin, Mage, Warrior, Tank, and Healer.

For beginners who want to progress fast, the best two choices are Mage and Assassin.
- Mage: Best for farming groups. It has AoE (Area of Effect) damage, allowing you to clear multiple mobs at once and finish quests faster. The downside is slower single-target damage against bosses.
- Assassin: Best for pure damage and fast boss kills. High mobility makes it easier to kite enemies and avoid damage.
Recommendation:
- Pick Mage if you want the most consistent leveling speed (AoE farming).
- Pick Assassin if you want to melt bosses and deal high burst damage.
Tip: Before committing, redeem your codes! Codes can give you resources to help you re-roll or enroll into the class you actually want. Don’t waste time leveling the wrong class.

2. Quests: Your Early Game Bread & Butter
Quests are the primary way to get EXP and unlock the Shadow system. Look for NPCs with a marker around the map.
- Quest Types: Blue, Yellow, and Red.
- Strategy: Pick the highest difficulty quest you can complete consistently. Don’t pick a Red quest if it takes you 10 minutes to clear; speed matters more than difficulty early on.

When you accept a quest, a portal will open nearby. Enter it and defeat all enemies.
The Arise Mechanic (Shadows)
While fighting, pay attention to the Arise prompt. After defeating certain enemies, you can press E to “Arise” them.

- This turns them into Shadows that fight for you.
- Always Arise enemies whenever possible. It’s basically free damage and progression. A strong shadow team makes clearing quests significantly easier.
3. Stat Points Guide
Leveling up gives you Stat Points. Distributing these arguably defines your build. Do not waste them.
Here is a simple, fail-safe stat build for each class:
Mage & Healer
- INT (Intelligence): MAX priority. Your main damage stat.
- MNA (Mana): ~500 to Max. Enough to spam skills without running dry.
- VIT (Vitality): ~500. So you don’t get one-shot.
- AGI (Agility): ~50. Just a little for movement comfort.
Assassin & Warrior
- STR (Strength): MAX priority. Your main damage stat.
- VIT (Vitality): ~500. Survivability is key.
- MNA (Mana): ~500-600. Enough for skill rotations.
- AGI (Agility): ~50. For movement.
Tank
- STR (Strength): Main damage stat.
- VIT (Vitality): ~500-600. Invest more here than other classes to be tanky.
- MNA (Mana): ~500.
- AGI (Agility): ~50.

4. Dungeons & Mining
Quests aren’t the only way to level. Dungeons spawn every 30 minutes and stay open for 15 minutes.
- Types: Subway, Goblin, Castle, Infernal, Insect.
- Why run them? Massive EXP and Gear drops.

Inside dungeons, you’ll find Mana Crystals.
- MINE THEM! These crystals can be exchanged for Coins later. This is one of the best ways to make money.

Defeating the dungeon boss rewards you with a chest containing Weapons and Armor. If you get drops for a different class, don’t panic. You can sell them or use them for upgrades (more on that below).
5. The Guild Store & Coins
Coins run everything in Arise Ragnarok: buying gear, chests, and upgrades.
How to make Coins fast:
- Stone Essence: Defeat enemies and destroy their bodies (Press R). Exchange the essence for coins.
- Mana Crystals: Mine them in dungeons and exchange them.
- Selling Gear: Sell useless drops from dungeons.
The Guild Store: The store resets every 30 minutes. Check it often! You can buy specific armor/weapons for your class or roll random chests. Sometimes a massive upgrade is just sitting there waiting for you.

6. Upgrading & Rank Up
Got duplicates? Merge them! In the Guild Hall, you can merge duplicate weapons, armor, and shadows to create higher-rank gear. Never throw away duplicates; they are your path to power.

The Rank Up Goal
Your main goal is to reach Level 1,000. At level 1,000, you can Rank Up.
- This resets your level, but unlocks Higher Rank Dungeons, better Shadows, and better Gear drops.
- It’s not a loss; it’s a prestige mechanic that unlocks the real endgame.
Summary Checklist
- Pick Mage (AoE) or Assassin (Single Target).
- Redeem codes immediately.
- Grind quests & Arise every enemy you can.
- Run Dungeons every 30 minutes.
- Mine Mana Crystals for coins.
- Check Guild Store every reset.
- Merge duplicates to upgrade gear.
- Push to Level 1,000 to Rank Up.
Good luck, Hunter! If you have any questions, drop them in the comments or join the Discord.
